Weekend hapenings!

Posted by mbparker5 at 04:41 PM on August 16, 2009

Our weekend wasn't that exciting but it was restful. On Saturday we went to the European Championships of American Quarter Horses. It was like being at home with the horses. We took our dog Adrian and she did wonderful for the hour drive and was very well behaved after a little of adjustment once we got there. We got to watch the halter showmanship (my favorite, but the girls think it is boring) and cow cutting. We really do miss our horses and showing. Can't wait until we are back home riding.

Today we went to one of our favorite spots. It is a lake that is only about 1.5 miles from our house. We bought the girls season passes so they ride their bikes a lot of the times. I packed a picnic and lots of sunscreen. It was 90 degrees here today. It was so beautiful and very crowded. Mike still isn't up to a lot of excercise so that left me to get in the lake with the girls. The water was really refreshing. I just really enjoyed laying out and relaxing. The only thing bad about this lake is having to see all men's body types in speedo bathing suits. Yes you read right, every guy wears speedos (except for Mike). It is definitely entertaining sometimes!

We came home and after a trip to the commissary, I made homemade barbeque chicken pizza. It was delicious. We miss you all and I still wish CJ was over here with us.

I hope all of your first week at school was good, Hannah, Jenna, and Mackenzie! We love you!

I am sure it was relaxing. We layed by the pool all weekend long for a change. The kids had a blast. Kenzie has come so far with her swimming this year. She can now swim the length of the pool under water without coming up and now she will dive in and swim to the other end under water. She is amazing. Jackson will jump into the deep end off the diving board and go down the slide. They have come leaps and bounds! I think I might take CJ this weekend to Louisville, waiting for him to let me know for sure.

Love you all,

Jessie

I am so sorry that you are still in the hospital but I'm so glad that they caught it in time. It could've been so much worse. Who knows now maybe I'll be able to be at the wedding! I love you and please hurry up and get well. Oh and for goodness sake...take care of yourself!

Hey Beck!!
Sorry we missed seeing you while you were here. I have some news... we have a baby. Lukas Allen Riddle has arrived 7 lbs 2.7 oz and 20"long. ONLY in labor 24 hours and 40 minutes.. Erin's water broke at work in the salon what a story. Both are doing great! Check out his picture on the St. E website he was born on 8/18.

Sounds like your weekend was an adventurous one. I'm sure there is never a dull moment. Give Syd a hug for Mikayla...

Love and Miss you!!!
