The Parker's Journey

I officially know what jet lag is now. For all of you that didn't know...we could not get a rental car because of the flood in louisville. Of all the places in the United States - Louisville had to get flooded! So we ended up taking the Vibe to Charleston, South Carolina. I drove all through the night. I didn't think it would be bad but 3:00 am I realized that I had been up since 7:00 (don't worry Michelle the coffee was worth it) so I had to pull over for about an hour. We arrived around 7:30 am and then I spent the next hour crying and saying goodbye to CJ. I was so worried about him driving back but Mike checked on him every hour and he did find! First road trip at 18.

I still can't believe how lucky we got. We missed the 2:45 flight by 4 people but they added another flight at 3:00 and we got on that one. We were getting ready to load the bus to take us to the plane and we noticed that the 54 people that loaded the first plane were coming back into the terminal. That flight got cancelled before they took off. We got some dirty looks as we loaded our bus.

So we are off and then the flight chief came on and said that we were going to be deverted to Dander, CA for about 2 hours. Another flight had to do an emergency landing and we were dropping off the mechanics to fix that plane. After refueling the people that were on that flight had to get back on the plane with us and go back to Germany, boy were they not happy!!

So this made us about 3 hours late and Mike had to wait but we were so happy to see him. He brought Adrian with him...that made the girls really happy. Then we were off on another car ride. It took us 5.5 hours to get home. Needless to say I'm sick of driving in the car. I slept from the time we got home until 11:30 this morning. I just couldn't keep my eyes open.

All of that was still worth seeing and being with all of you all. If we didn't not get to visit I am sorry and blame it on the dagon fair!! I am really sorry about not getting to see the horse show and all of my horse buddies. I wish you all a wonderful season and love you all!
